Laborer
Position Description:
The Laborer completes processes to refurbish steel tanks, general grounds repair and maintenance. The Laborer may operate heavy equipment, performs work in confined spaces, works at heights, conducts abrasive blasting, and works in environments containing dust and fumes which require use of Personal Protective Equipment. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Laborer include, but are not limited to:
- Install and verify operation of piping, valves, meters and related storage equipment.
- Refurbishment and preparation of steel tanks including pressure washing, media blasting, priming, and painting
- Maintain serviceability and repair of company’s assets including property, vehicles and tooling.
- Manage and organize parts inventory.
- Repair and maintain tools and equipment.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials for operations assigned.
- Complete logs, reports, work orders, requisitions, and other records and communications as required.
- Work as a team member to carry out project requirements.
- Operate heavy equipment and other construction duties as necessary.
- Must ensure a solid understanding of and compliance with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Travel:
Minimal local travel for parts as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- A background in propane or related construction activities.
- Basic Knowledge of propane and related equipment.
- Completed basic CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) or equivalent propane industry training.
- Technical Degree or Diploma in from an accredited institution or equivalent.
